Richard Wagner
was born in Leipzig in the Kingdom of Saxony on 22nd May 1813.
The Wagner Society in Queensland Inc.
is one of six societies in Australia and New Zealand, and 136 societies around the world.
Total membership is in excess of 37,000.
Their objective is promoting an appreciation of Wagner's works and encouraging performances and performing artists.
